  1. Can the supplier provide a full traceability package, not just a datasheet?
  2. Can they commit to the real delivery date with a buffer?
  3. What is the consequence if the material fails on arrival?
  4. What is the total cost including freight, inspection time, and schedule risk?

It sounds like corporate language. I know. But every time I see that 2 door Bronco in the yard, I remember what the cheapest quote actually looked like: a rest stop at 3 a.m., a foil shaver in a cold parking lot, and a 260-kilogram coil sitting behind me in a two-door SUV because nobody had asked the hard questions early enough.
